Drum filters RN series are used for the separation of the particles in suspension into the water. Sewage to be treated enters in the feeding tank and is distributed on all the length of the drum. The slow rotation of the drum allows the material in suspension into the water to attack on the surface of the drum and to be transported in the frontal part of the machine, where a scraper discharges it. Water passes through the drum and is collected in a tank positioned below the machine, while suspended solids of dimension identical or bigger than the chosen bars spacing are retained. Drum is kept clean by the double passage of the water and by an internal bar of spraying nozzles connected to a clean water source.

MODELS
Drum filter series RN models cover a wide range of flow (from 30 up to 2000 m3/hour) and spacings (from 0,25 to 3 mm).
Flow depends on the wastewater solids contents too, so ask our technical office for correct dimensioning of the machine.

HOW IT IS BUILT

1. Filtering drum is composed by electro-welded trapezoidal bars and by two lateral and checkable flanges, one drive and one idle, completely made in AISI 304 stainless steel.

2. Gear reduction unit composed by a worm screw reducer with pre-couple and mechanical calibrating torque limiter device and by one electrical motor 220/400 V, 50 Hz, tri-phase, 4 poles, protection IP 55, class F.
